Dihydroxyacetone [DHA], the active ingredient in sunless tanners, saturates the dead skin cells in the outermost layer of skin, where it turns the protein in the dead cells brown.

How Do I Prepare For A Tanning Session?
DO NOT:
• Apply lotion, deodorant, perfume/cologne; Shave or wear makeup the day of applications
• Shower or perspire for 8 hours after application preferably 24 hours after
DO:
• Exfoliate the skin very well the night before your application
• Moisturize the skin very well the night before your application
• Wear something loose and dark colored, preferably cotton to wear after application
• Wear a bathing suit or swimwear for application of tanning spray
• Bring a towel to protect your leather car seats for the ride home
What do I Wear During A Session?
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing such as a bathing suit. However, some customers will prefer to tan without tan-lines. Such a request is not a problem because we use the utmost discretion. Most importantly, once your session is complete it is important that you wear loose fitted clothing.
What Can I Expect With Airbrush Tanning?
You will now have a convenient option that will supplement your tanning routine. Airbrush tanning is perfect for those who might not have time or care for the mess of tanning bed sessions. It will be easier for you to allocate in your busy schedule the few minutes that it takes for an airbrush tanning application. Airbrush tanning is safer than tanning beds or the sun, because there are no damaging ultraviolet rays in the airbrush procedure.
How Does Airbrush Tanning Tan The Skin?
With repeated applications, proteins in the top layer of the skin darken with Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to produce the appearance of a golden healthy tan. The active ingredient in virtually all Sunless Tanning formulas is DHA. When DHA is applied to the skin, it causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the skin to produce a tan, much like the sun does, but without UVA and UVB damage to the skin.
